26 April 2008: Bastards Gig on the Beach, Lamma Island, Hong Kong
The Bastards played on Power Station Beach on :Lamma Island. See Blog May 3 on www.lamma.com.hk for a full account of the gig. Also featured were bands Transnoodle and The Curs aka The Yung Shue Wankers.
25 April 2008: Album Launch, The Wanch Bar, Wanchai, Hong Kong
The Bastards marked the launch of their second album “Scheming in the Backroom” with a party in The Wanch Bar in Hong Kong. The band played the 11 songs from the album plus tracks from earlier release “Welcome to the Royal”.

The Bastards released their second album “Scheming in the Backroom”. The 11- track album follows-up on earlier release “Welcome to the Royal”. The album title reflects the way the music was written and recorded says lead singer Dan James. “We wrote most of the music in the storeroom of my shop and then recorded it over a weekend.”
